Popis:	A sensitive high-performance thin-layer chromatographic method has been established for quantification of apigenin in dried root powder from Gmelina arborea Linn. Chromatographic separation was performed on silica gel plates with chloroform-acetone-formic acid, 7.6:1.6:0.8 ( v / v ), as mobile phase. The plates were scanned densitometrically at 340 nm.
