Popis: To address the rising prevalence of obesity, dietary interventions that reduce energy intake, decrease the energy density of foods, or delay the initiation of meals may be useful and important considerations for influencing weight loss. Research on avocado consumption suggests that it has a variety of health benefits, but there is a lack of randomized controlled trials investigating the time period following avocado consumption to determine its effects on subsequent energy intake. Accordingly, we plan to conduct a secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effect of a daily meal with and without avocado on the energy intake, energy density, and timing of subsequent foods among overweight or obese adults.
