In recent years, the use of distributed power sources, such as photovoltaic power generators and fuel cells, has become widespread. In particular, next-generation power distribution systems for residences based on direct current (DC) power supply and distribution are being actively researched in Japan. In this context, this paper investigates the effects of operating home appliances with a DC power supply using a special winding transformer on each device were investigated. To this end, a smart house equipped with DC power supplied by a transformer with a special winding structure was configured. Experimental observations confirmed that all digital home appliances exhibited proper functions on the aforementioned DC power architecture. |
