Popis: | This is the first in a series of papers on simulation results of plasma dynamics with protons and neutral hydrogen, taking into account the transport processes of proton-neutral hydrogen collision, heat conduction, recombination, and ionization that are important in the solar transition region as well as in the chromosphere. We investigate the collision process of two current loops with counterhelicity in the upper chromosphere where the density of protons and neutral hydrogen are comparable. We found that the two-fluid dynamics of protons and neutral hydrogen is different from that of a single-fluid MHD approximation. We found that about 79% of the magnetic field energy can dissipate to heat protons, and then bidirectional jets occur of protons coupled well with hydrogen. The obtained results may be applicable to the footpoint heating of coronal loops and the explosive events that are strongly localized high-velocity jets in the transition region. |
