A programme of archaeological investigative works was carried out for the National Trust for Scotland in support of developments at Hightae Farm, Threave, Dumfries and Galloway. The works tested archaeological potential to inform appropriate mitigation of impact.31.The works consisted of an intrusive sample by trenching, carried on the 24th of June 2020. Some 6 trenches were excavated within the development area with no significant archaeological remains identified as a result. No further archaeological works are recommended. |
