Popis:	A novel glycoside anomerization occurred when trimethylsilyl bromide (TMSBr) and zinc bromide were utilized in combination as a catalyst. Treatment of β-glycosides with TMSBr and zinc bromide in the presence of alcohols afforded anomerized products in good yields.
