The fabrication of fibre-reinforced metals by filament-winding and electrodeposition: an evaluation of some electroplating solutions

Popis:	The process of filament-winding and electroforming is a promising method for the fabrication of fibre-reinforcing metal composites. A simple test has been developed to evaluate some electroplating solutions of interest. It has been found that simple salt solutions work satisfactorily with the process but this was not the case with highly complexed solutions. The observed growth behaviour is explained in terms of the differences in micro-throwing power between the solutions investigated.
