Popis: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical profile of the patients attended in the Stomatology Clinic of the Dentistry course of the Vale do Rio Verde University (UninCor). Following data were collected: gender, age, ethnicity, chief complaint, allergies, smoking and alcohol use, medications, systemic diseases, dental prosthesis use and presence of oral lesions. The data showed that the service was sought mainly to perform dental extractions (37%), with prevalence of female patients (60%), with less than 60 years (95%) and caucasian (45%). There was wide diversity in the use of medications, and the hypertension was the most prevalent systemic alteration (17%). A small number of smokers (18%) and etilists (13%) were observed. No significant number of allergic patients, as well as those that wore dental prosthetics and/or who had oral lesions were found. The knowledgement of the most prevalent systemic alterations, as well as which were the most utilized medications and the main dental complaints that often affect the patients treated in the institution, facilitated our understanding on the demand to adapt it to the real treatment necessity presented by the patients that are attended in the Dentistry course of the UninCor in the better efficient way.
