Popis: Chemically ordered and textured L10 FePtX-Y (001) granular media with high perpendicular anisotropy are being developed for future high areal density heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) applications. Proper heat sink layers optimize the recording time window down to 0.1–0.2 ns and achievable areal densities beyond1 Tb/in2.
