This paper focuses on the development of 3D printers for the production of casting sand moulds. The basic concepts and classification of 3D printing technology are given and the main representative technologies are described in detail. The scope of application of 3D printing technology in the production of foundry moulds and the advantages of using this technology are specified. Similar 3D printers are analysed and the main parameters are summarised. Optional design options for each of the main printer systems are analysed. The structure of the printer was determined based on the design requirements of the printer. The type of drive used for the printer was determined and a schematic and functional diagram of the printer's motion was produced. A model of the main printer components was selected and calculated. A 3D model of the printer was created in 3D software.  |
