Popis:	A modified SNIFTIRS technique is described which enables IR spectra to be obtained from the evolving anodic layer formed on Ni in alkaline solution. The sequential changes Ni → α -Ni(OH) 2 → β -Ni(OH) 2 → β-NiOOH → γ-NiOOH are clearly distinguishable in the spectra which can be interpreted to give structural information.
