Popis:	The synthesis of 5,5'-dinitro-3,3'-azo-1H-1,2,4-triazole (DNAT) by the oxidative coupling of 5-amino-3-nitro-1H-1,2,4-triazole is described. The thermal properties of DNAT were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. The sensitivity and explosive properties are also reported.
