Popis: Deconvolution of compound action signals (CASs) measured from peripheral nerve bundles results in clinically valuable construction velocity distributions (CVDs). This procedure requires stationary propagation of action potentials in the nerve bundle. Regeneration of surgically reconstructed nerve bundles can be monitored by means of the measured CAS distal from the repair site. The discontinuous propagation of action potentials in a regenerating nerve bundle requires essential changes in the CAS deconvolution. A method of incorporating these changes in a CAS deconvolution model is described for a simplified termination of action potential propagation near a cut end of a nerve bundle. >
