Popis: | THE existence of a compound with the formula Sr6Si2Al18O37 was reported by Dear.1 The unindexed powder diffraction pattern of this compound is listed as ASTM No. 10–25. In this note we present evidence that the composition of this phase is Sr3SiAl10O20 rather than Sr6Si2Al18O37. We report the indexed powder diffraction pattern and give some luminescence data for activation with Ce3+. Cell parameters of other new compounds with a structure related to that |
