A Fuzzy Goal Programming Model for Selecting the Best Sustainable Renewable Energy Source in Algeria

Popis: Choosing Renewable Energy's (RE) best source is an uncertain Multi-Criterion Decision-Making issue (MCDM). In particular, this involves the search for the best RE supply that fulfills DM's preferences in accordance with and using contradictory parameters, such as technological, environmental, social and economic factors. This paper uses an effective approach called Fuzzy Goal Programming (FGP) to solve the complex problems of DM with high uncertainty. The paper helps address a wide variety of uncertainties in DM issues based on the traditional FGP model in real-world problems. This is a real-life scenario validated for selecting the best RE source to generate energy in Algeria. Seven parameters are used to determine five sources: solar, wind, geothermal, biomass and hydroelectricity. The results show that the approach used will enable DM to find the best sustainable source of RE in Algeria in unpredictable and inaccurate situations.
