Popis: | Stabilometric parameters were recorded during maintaining the upright posture (European version of Rotberg’s posture: heels together, toes apart, hands down at the sides) for 1 min in the absence of visual and audio stimulation. In the study, we tested the hypothesis that the strategy of maintaining the posture in the absence of distant information depends on the predominant modality in spatial orientation. The differences in the trajectory length of the center of pressure (COP) of the body, in its speed and in variation of COP values along the sagittal axis between groups of field-dependent (FD) and field-independent (FI) subjects were detected. These differences were expressed in the more significant fluctuations of values along the sagittal axis in the FI subjects in comparison with the FD subjects. The values of the same parameters along the frontal axis did not differ significantly in groups. Higher values of balance quality and lower values of the ellipse area and ellipse compression in the FD subjects in comparison with the FI subjects were observed. These observations show the difference in balance between the groups of subjects in the absence of audio and visual information. The assessment of the dynamics of postural parameters in the FI subjects showed a backward shift of СОР during the entire standing period, whereas in the FD subjects no significant changes in COP shift were detected. |
