Popis: A sales forecast is an estimate by a firm of the dollar or unit sales expected by that firm in a specific time period with a specific marketing program in a specific economic environment. The sales forecast is characteristically an estimate. The utility of the estimate is enhanced when the forecast is in a decision compelling form; thus sales forecasts are often generated for products, potential customers, and geographic areas.
