Popis: Bernard Palissy, ceramist of the sixteenth-century, succeeded in giving a realistic aspect to his work in using moulds and casts of real objects. Another technique, mixed clay techniques, gave an aspect of marbled texture in an imitation of rocks and minerals. His architectural realisations re-inforce the realism of his works by giving a three dimensional illusion respecting the original object.
