Popis:	The possibility of making rational use of overburden rocks from iron ore deposits was established for the production of enamel coatings. Two types of enamels were distinguished: fluorine-containing, meeting GOST requirements in terms of chemical composition, and fluorine-free, for purposes of environmental protection. Mineral compositions required for producing various colors were assessed as were production methods. Methods for producing certain nontoxic, fluorine-free enamels were assessed which could be used under conditions existing in ordinary enamel departments and do not require the use of expensive purifying equipment.
