Influence of the asymmetry of the potential on the dynamics of a two-level superconducting quantum interference device qubit

Popis: We analyze the interaction of a two-level superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) qubit with a classical microwave pulse. The rf-SQUID is characterized by an asymmetric double well potential that gives rise to diagonal matrix elements. The diagonal matrix elements are accounted for in the interaction of the microwave pulse with the SQUID. We present analytical results that correctly describe the system's dynamics.
