Popis: It might be doubted whether there is still reason to study in detail the relation between the biological fragments of Anaximander and the modern theory of evolution. On the other hand, it may be stated that even among authorities there does not exist any agreement on this point. What is more, one makes the somewhat unexpected discovery that no detailed analysis of the biological fragments is to be found in relevant works and articles. Now, opinions may be divided into two groups: the first claims to find biological evolution in the fragments of Anaximander, though in a varying degree, the second refuses to admit any resemblance with modern theories.
