Network structure of filled siloxane elastomers

Popis: The network structure in PDMS-filler blends, cross-linked rubber separated from mixtures, and vulcanizates of SKTFV-803 rubber are studied by 1 H NMR spectroscopy and measurement of the mechanical properties. Semi-quantitative data on the number of units between the chemical cross-links, the polymer-filler absorption bonds, the topological nodes of the interlinking network, and topological hindrance resulting from the closeness of the bulky filler particles unobtained. Satisfactory agreement is observed between the results obtained by the different methods. The effect of the type of cross-linking agent on the content and uniformity of distribution of the chemical cross-links of the network in the vulcanizates is considered.
