Popis: | This paper provides numerical results of the intensity and distribution of response accelerations and stresses of spherical domes and cylindrical roof shells subjected to the Kobe earthquake, using mathematically analytic solutions. It is shown that stresses, especially, in-plane shear stress of cylindrical roof shells, become extremely large when they were subjected to earthquakes of such class as the NS-components of the Kobe earthquake. |
