Popis: | In this paper, we propose a transmission line model and detailed design process for designing the common-mode suppression filter on multi differential signal pairs. Based on proposed model, we can easily define the geometric parameters of the common-mode filter, and predict its common-mode suppression bandwidth and resonant frequency. The proposed model is verified on a common-mode suppression filter for single differential signal pair, and it also can be used in the wideband common-mode filter for multi differential signal pairs which has been presented in previous study. By observing the results, good consistency between full-wave simulation and proposed model can be found. To our knowledge, this is the first model that uses transmission line equivalent circuit to analyze the behavior of common-mode filter using the composite concept of defected ground structures (DGSs) and quarter-wavelength resonators for multi differential signal pairs. |
