Acute necrotising encephalopathy: A rare but important differential diagnosis

Popis:	We describe a patient with the classic clinical and radiological findings of acute necrotising encephalopathy and present a review of the current literature. Although it is a rare condition, we believe it should always be considered in an encephalopathic child when the specific radiological findings are seen. This is of particular importance given that early treatment has been reported to result in better outcomes.
