Sizing of soft spheroidal particles by multiangle scattered light intensity data: application of neural networks

Popis: The problem of retrieval of size, orientation, and aspect ratio of a prolate optically soft spheroidal particle by measurements of scattered light intensity at a wide set of scattering angles is considered. For its solution the neural networks method is used. The errors in the retrieved particle sizes and particle orientation for radii of an equivolume sphere in the range of 0.3– 1.5 μ m and aspect ratio from 1 to 3 are investigated.
