Popis: | We have studied the effect of in vivo irradiation of venous blood by therapeutic doses of optical radiation at different wavelengths (254 nm and 670 nm) on the absorption spectra of blood, the level of hemoglobin oxygen saturation in erythrocytes, and also the blood lactate and glucose levels for individual patients before and after irradiation of the blood. We have determined the differences in short-term (achieved during irradiation) and long-term photoinduced changes in metabolite levels. The changes in the lactate and glucose concentrations measured after completion of the course of treatment were appreciably different for different patients, and depended on two quantities: their initial concentration, and the photoinduced changes in the oxygen saturation of venous blood (ΔS v O2). The strongest normalizing effect of optical radiation occurred for changes in ΔS v O2 in the narrow range −15% < ΔS v O2 < 10%. |
