Search for superheavy hydrogen isotopes and multineutrons in π− absorption on 9Be

Popis: A search for superheavy hydrogen isotopes and multineutrons in the two- and three-body channels of π − absorption at rest on a 9 Be target has been carried out. The 5 H system revealed a broad resonance with E r = 7.4±0.7 MeV and Γ = 8±3 MeV. An indication has been obtained for the resonance in the 3n system with E r = 3±1 MeV. The measured parameters for 4 H are close to the results of previous experiments.
