Popis:	In The Netherlands, new waste tips have to be sealed at the bottom to prevent pollution of the groundwater. By doing this, the highly polluted leachate can easily be collected by means of a drainage system. Before discharging the leachate into the surface water, it has to be treated. For this treatment several purification systems are available, each system with its own characteristics. Therefore, a case-oriented approach is necessary for the selection of the optimal treatment system.
