Popis:	An ID credential is only as good as its readers, and those are mostly human eyes. Despite all the advances in document reader technology, it's virtually impossible to place electronic readers at all spots where an ID might be required. In fact, experience shows that the funding for even critical use situations takes many years to materialise. Stephen Price-Francis, vice president of Marketing at LaserCard reports on the issues and puts forward the case for optical stripes.
