The effect of stress on the relaxation transitions in orientated heat resistant polymers

Popis: The effects of stress on the relaxation transitions in thermostable polymers orientated in various conditions have been investigated. An increase of stress was found to smooth out a number of transitions, or even caused them to disappear. Those transitions which cause softening shifted to lower temperatures when the stress was increased. The orientation and crystallization of the polymers resulted in a shift of the relaxation transitions towards higher temperatures.
