The transition of the energy source from fossil-fuel to renewables is currently the global focus. The world's concern about climate change considering the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission leads them to make policy initiates to accelerate the transitions to renewable energy sources. The intermittent renewable sources combined with Energy Storage System (ESS) specifically the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) have the potential to produces secure, reliable, and efficient electrification for the end-users. The Philippines is one of the countries that participated in the global solutions in the transition from fossil-fuel based source to renewable energy source and ESS. But the policies of the government and players for this technological solution in the energy sector should be taken into considerations. The technological transition architectural framework will be used in this paper to recommend some policy in this technology. |
