Popis: | The efficacy of Cyclosporin-A (CsA) in the treatment of psoriasis has been established in many trials. However limitation in the use of CsA is correlated with its side effects such as hypertension and nephrotoxicity that are dose and time related morbidities. Therefore, possibility of making a treatment able to effectively control in long-term clinical manifestations with acceptable safety profile is becoming increasingly important to improve the quality of life of patients with psoriasis. The aim of our study is the evaluation of therapy with Cyclosporin-A administered only two days a week to extend over long periods the control of the relapse of psoriasis. Our study was inspired by the weekend therapy that has proven effective in maintaining long-term remission and was well tolerated by all patients treated.
