Popis: | 1. Creep after loading and stress-relaxation after lengthening were recorded during 1000 sec in the isolated taenia coli of the guinea-pig in the contracted (by KCl) and relaxed (by adrenaline, pyrophosphate, absence of Ca+++EGTA) state. 2. The time course of creep and relaxation does not correspond either with the conception of a simple Voigt- or Maxwell model with constant parameters for viscoelastic and plastic elements or with a combination of these models in parallel or in series. The time course is not linear with the logarithm of time, referred to in earlier papers. 3. There is a hyperbolic relation between creep N resp. relaxation R and their first derivatives in timedN/dt resp.dR/dt under all conditions. This is not strictly valid for the beginning and the end of the time course. 4. An attempt is made to relate these results which reveal creep and stress-relaxation as a function of the diameter of the preparation to known structural facts. 5. In an appendix a survey is given about the quantitative consequences of the application of Voigt- and Maxwell models including their combinations. |
