About treatment tactics for acute rhinosinusitis in adult patients, including pregnant women, during the period of accelerating antibiotic resistance

Popis: | Treatment of rhinosinusitis is still actual problem according to the reports of European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps 2020 and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A lot of scientific evidence suggests that herbal medicine may be helpful as an adjuvant or alternative treatment in patients with such diagnosis. Using herbal product Sinupret in therapy of diseases of upper respiratory tract is well-known, safe and effective. Concerning stated above at the Otorhinolaryngology department of Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry observational study was carried out to evaluate efficacy and tolerability of Sinupret in complex therapy of rhinosinusitis. The study involved 52 patients of different sex and age, including 11 pregnant women. The assessment was made by several objective and subjective manifestations of the disease, as well as objective examination methods. As a result, herbal drug Sinupret have proven effective in acute rhinosinusitis. |
