As alternative to field theory on a space-time lattice we consider field theory on a momentum lattice. We construct a gauge transformation on a finite momentum lattice which is the closet analogue to a local gauge transformation of SU(N) in space-time We show that those gauge transformations form a Lie group CSU (MD, N) for a lattice of MD sites, which leaves the action invariant. As a numerical application, we consider the SU(2) model in a non-compact formulation and compute 〈Fμν(k)Fμν(k′) 〉 via stochastic quantization on a small momentum lattice. |
