Popis:	A method is proposed for the identification of breakdown products of high molecular weight compounds by analysing mass spectra obtained during pyrolysis at constant or programmed temperature. A comparison of relative changes in peak intensities of various ions in various mass spectra enables ions to be grouped belonging to mass spectra of individual breakdown products, for which relative intensity variations of peaks are the same in given time or temperature intervals.
