In this session, you’ll hear firsthand examples from two librarians who are using collection data from GreenGlass for Serials to: Address constraints and increase flexibility of physical space Ensure that scarcely held items are retained and preserved Identify materials that provide a more diverse representation of voices Make volumes more accessible to patrons and staff alike Better meet the resource demands of users Increase the value and use of their collections You will learn innovative and practical ways libraries have leveraged collection analysis data to improve their library’s impact and sustainability, including analyzing print collections for deselection programs, shared resource programs, and other strategic campaigns. When you understand the relative scarcity of your holdings, their duplication in known journal archives, and publication and geographic data, you can save money, free up physical space, and improve discovery—all while protecting unique materials for future scholarship. |
