Popis: The physical model discussed herein is a simulated air flow moving over a complex terrain with surface roughness. To model such a wind field, the strategy is to apply the numerical solution to an effective boundary-layer kinematic flow model. A geographic information systems (GIS) software is used to manipulate the massive topographic and roughness data over a fine grid system. The results of this application are compared with measured and historical data as well as previous studies.
