It presents a reflection on the contribution of the black intellectual professor Dra Joselina da Silva to the studies on ethnic-racial, social and gender relations in the Librarianship course at the Federal University of Ceara, Campus Cariri. It discusses the importance of this intellectual black woman for the consolidation of Brazilian black librarianship. It informs that the discussions about the ethnic-racial relations in the formation of librarians in Brazil have been taking place from the initiatives of different black women / Brazilian intellectuals. It adopts as a methodology the feature of bibliographic research with a qualitative approach and collects the data through the curriculum of that teacher indexed in the lattes platform. He informs that Professor Joselina da Silva is a black intellectual, from Rio de Janeiro, born and raised in the religious sphere of African origin, has a notorious trajectory in academia and in black social movements. She explains that she worked in the Librarianship course and coordinated the Brazilian Latin American and Caribbean Nucleus for Studies on Race Relations, Gender and Social Movements - (N´BLAC). It mentions that this research is developed in the scope of Alaye - research laboratory in anti-racist information and informational subjects. He concludes by pointing out that the performance of the aforementioned teacher has provided the training of librarians committed to academic, pedagogical and professional activities with the education of race relations, so that information services and products can address the informational needs of black people regardless of environment in which they are inserted. |
