In contrast to the samples produced by the traditional metallurgical technique, two types of boundaries are observed in powder-metallurgical materials (inter- and intraparticle), which sharply differ from each other in terms of purity. The change in of the fracture mechanism from interparticle to the intraparticle type controls, to a significant extent, the onset temperature of dissolution of the impurities, at which impact strength reaches maximum values. 2. The onset temperature of dissolution of impurities depends on the fractional composition of the powder It increases with increasing size of the powder particles. |
