Popis: | Optical absorbance measurements were obtained for silver particles formed on quartz substrates. From a model derived from Mie theory and taking into account the electromagnetic resonances for p (parallel) and s (perpendicular) polarizations, we describe a graphical method for determining simultaneously the shape and the volume of the particulates. Good agreement was found with results obtained for similar particulates embedded in a dielectric matrix. |
