Popis: | Labyrinthine ossificans (LO) is the formation of pathological new bone within the membranous labyrinth of the inner ear. Most commonly, it is caused by meningitis, via communication of labyrinth with subarachnoid via the cochlear aqueduct and internal auditory canal. We highlight a case of cholesteatoma with a rare complication of tympanogenic LO that results in unilateral profound mixed hearing loss with concomitant severe vertigo. |
