Popis: | After I graduated with a Ph.D. degree in French literature, I did not know what I wanted to do with my life. Sure, I would have loved to use everything I had learned during my studies or continue with an academic career, but jobs were scarce, and the competitors were far more upstart than I. At that time, I spotted a company that was looking for an external relations officer for which no specific degree was required; social and speaking skills were the best assets to have. Well, they also specified that candidates should be interested in new information technologies ... which I definitely was not. Still, I sent my curriculum vitae (CV)-the paper version, because that's what someone with a Ph.D. degree in literature does. |
