Popis:	In early Western medieval education, music was taught as one of the quadrivium, which comprised four of the seven liberal arts, in turn built upon an earlier Western classical tradition that produced the trivium. We re-examine music’s close relationship with the other elements of the quadrivium, and further establish links with elements of modern computing theory.
