Effect of absorbing bottom on angular distribution of surface noise in shallow sea

Popis: The effect of the sound speed profile and absorption in the bottom on the angular distribution of the surface noise intensity in a shallow sea was considered within the averaged description of the acoustic field. The formulas allowing prediction of the characteristic of the noise field anisotropy were derived. The size of the region of the efficient formation of the noise field was estimated. Requirements for the array length for measuring the angular spectrum of noise were formulated.
