Popis: | Publisher Summary This chapter presents a survey of Soviet contributions to control theory. It is believed that the most important problems in the field of control theory that are under investigation are of large scale system control, and introduction of methods of control theory into the field of medicine. Large-scale system control theory deals with a wide range of analysis and synthesis problems. Large-scale systems are complex and they defy the description by equations of motion. The condition of a gas might never be predetermined by defining the behavior of every molecule within its volume. The problems are urgent, and their solution could be applied to industrial corporations, government offices, power distributions, and transportation systems. Opportunities for scientific development exist in the design of such control systems. The area of large-scale system control theory dealing with methods for active system control arouses particular interest. |
