The main objective of scheduling algorithms is to perform tasks in a manner which minimizes time and resource usage while maximizing throughput and thereby reducing energy consumption and other costs related to it. We introduce an approach to schedule cloud instances using the optimization algorithm named elephant herd optimization. The above mentioned algorithm was then evaluated on an in-house developed cloud platform “Indra”. |
