The work is devoted to the concept and issues of qualification of crimes against state power, the interests of public service and service in local self-government bodies. The general characteristics of this group of crimes, the concept of an official, and the legal analysis of each of the elements of crimes included in Chapter 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation are outlined. The novelties included in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, delineation from related crimes are shown, attention is drawn to errors in the application of the relevant norms of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
