Popis: | An energy failure criterion for thermoviscoelastic structural members subject to abrasive wear and dissipative heating is proposed. The criterion is used to develop an algorithm to calculate the durability of such members under long-term cyclic loading. A simple formula of the number of cycles to failure is obtained. Experimental results on destruction of a rubber liner are given. Good agreement between the theoretical and experimental results is observed. |
